The Blue Souq

The Central Market opened in 1978, built under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. Its blue tiles gave it the name most people still use, the Blue Souq, and its wind towers still rise above Khalid Lagoon. For years we have been part of its gold market, happily serving the customers who come back to us again and again.

Deira & the Creek

Long before the towers, Deira was where Dubai traded. Merchants from India and Persia unloaded their goods on the Creek, and by the 1940s and 50s the lanes of Al Ras had become the souqs that still stand today: spices on one side, gold on the other. Our Dubai shop sits a few minutes from the Gold Souq, and we are proud to be part of that history.
